Jan. 8, 2008: What good are pundits, anyway?
The New Hampshire Primary RZP interviews football fans, Republicans
and others at Obama's primary-night rally
In New Hampshire, wonder-boy-in-their-own-mind pundits Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews did the typical, knuckleheaded media thing and over-hyped Obama while prematurely writing Hillary Clinton's political obituary. Clinton staged a comeback to end with a two-percentage-point victory over Obama.
A Washington Post blogger asked RZP how we thought this could have happened. Our answer? VOTERS HATE THE MEDIA TELLING US WHAT WE THINK.And we don't need pundits clueing us in on that reality after the fact, either, as Pat Buchanan did the very next day.
